Course overview
Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) feeding helps people who cannot eat or drink safely by mouth receive the nutrition, fluids and medicines they need. Supporting someone with a PEG requires accurate technique, good hygiene and the ability to recognise when something is wrong.
This nurse-led course explains how PEG feeding works and why it may be needed, then builds the practical skills staff need to feed, give medicines and care for the tube and stoma site safely. Learners practise on training equipment under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
